Creativity has always been at the core of Pauline's endeavors. While she grew up on a dairy farm with very little spare time for drawing, her imagination was often at work, recreating and modifying reality. In her first professional career, Pauline specialized as a hair colour technician in a Yorkville salon in Toronto. 10 years later she moved to Vancouver where she returned to her grassroots interests and studied fine art & design, completing the 2 year Fine Arts Program at Langara College followed by the 4 year Graphic Design Degree Program at Emily Carr University of Art & Design. While at ECUAD, she travelled to Europe in third year for a 5 month Student Exchange Program in The Netherlands studying graphic design and it's history in Holland. She left for Europe early and backpacked solo through 5 countries before starting the exchange at Hogeschool Rotterdam. Studying in her parents' homeland and travelling alone were both amazing and rewarding experiences.
After graduating from ECUAD, Pauline teamed up with a natural & organic focused company in Vancouver where she developed and occupied the professional roles of Senior Graphic Designer, acting Creative Director and Creative Team Lead. She also freelanced during this time, giving rise to PJCreativess and managed to etch out a little time for drawing and painting. When a corporate shuffle took place after 15 years with the company, Pauline took the opportunity to make a brave new move. She and her husband relocated to the Okanagan, BC, where Pauline gave PJCreativess a proper working space for art and design - PJC Studio. Here, in the serenity of the country she has returned to her first interest and continues to follow her creative passion, drawing, painting and developing her artistic expressions. Her aptitude in Graphic Design remains a valuable asset.
Pauline is a member of the FCA (Federation of Canadian Artists). Her paintings have been exhibited in 2017 & 2018 at the Federation of Canadian Artists Gallery on Granville Island, Vancouver for the Abstract Exhibition. Her paintings can be viewed more fully at PJC Studio-Gallery on the Naramata Bench and are exclusively exhibited at Marichel Winery, also on the Naramata Bench.
